Minseok S. Kim is an Associate Professor of New Biology at Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology (DGIST). He received his Ph.D. degree in Bio and Brain Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2010. Before joining the DGIST, he was a Senior Research Engineer for In vitro diagnostics (IVD) laboratory (2010 ~ 2013) and Well Aging Research Center (2013 ~ 2015) at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Korea. And then he worked as an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Konyang University in Korea (2015 ~ 2016). In 2016, he joined the DGIST as an Assistant Professor for the Department of New Biology and served as a research member in the DGIST-Well Aging Research Center. Based on the background of biomedical engineering, he pursue novel rejuvenation technologies for aging recovery. His expertise includes BioMEMS (microelectromechanical systems), bioelectronics, microfluidics and nanobiosensors, which applied to organ-on-a-chip, biotechnological chips for human stem cells and embryology, biomimetic drug screening systems and precise cancer diagnostic systems including circulating tumor cell (CTC) detection and multiplexed tissue analysis. He has served as a committee member of the Korean BioChip Society from 2014.
